Resolution on the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

On the internet, you’ll find more and more interior design visualizations that weren’t created by a professional designer but were generated by artificial intelligence.

What's the problem with AI-generated content?

At first glance, these interior designs may appear aesthetically pleasing, but in most cases they distort reality and lack a professional foundation; therefore, they cannot be considered feasible plans.

What is most lacking in these projects is the designer’s sense of responsibility, deliberate and expert technical design, parameters that comply with constructability rules, precise use of materials, and on-site surveys.

AI Position Paper: Why We Don't Use AI in Design

Why don't we use AI in the design process?

It is important to us that you understand exactly what personalized design and precise, to-scale construction mean to us. At Homilla, every designer holds a university degree in architectural engineering and has many years of experience.

We create technical drawings and 3D renderings using professional design software, always adapting them to the actual on-site conditions. The Homilla's method One of its fundamental principles is that every design must be delivered to the client and the relevant departments in a form that is suitable for construction and has been technically reviewed.

Our 3D renderings and video animations are created using real models that we have built ourselves. These are not AI-generated, illustrative images, but rather precise, technically accurate representations of the actual space.

We believe that the human voice is essential in both our written content and our communications.

These decisions are not based on a rejection of technology, but rather on the fact that the complexity of technical design cannot be replaced by automated or generated content.

Where does AI support these processes?

We use AI exclusively in background processes that help us operate more efficiently, such as project management, scheduling, internal administration, and note-taking. These solutions are designed to streamline our operations, freeing up more resources for core design work and allowing us to focus more attention on our clients.

Why do we consider all of this important?

The essence of human-centered design is that the design process is underpinned by genuine professional attention, personal consultation, and a commitment to accountability. This ensures that, in every case, the resulting design is well-thought-out, aesthetically pleasing, and feasible.
